Trace and Apollon announce the biggest ever celebration of Afro-Caribbean music & culture

Last week global media network Trace and event promoter Apollon announced their first-ever edition of a new experience and festival, “Trace Made in Africa”. A buzzing experience celebrating Afro-Caribbean music and culture is coming to Europe this year! Porto, Portugal, to be precise. The festival is scheduled to take place across three hot days this Summer: June 24th, 25th & 26th, 2022.

The event will have some of the biggest and emerging names in Afrobeats, Dancehall and Rap take the stage, such as Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage and Mr Eazi, to name a few.

As if it could not get any better, the festival will take place on the lush Douro riverbank in Porto. “Trace Made in Africa” will bring 72 hours of non-stop fun and celebration, from the main stage down to the vibrant nightlife of the city.

Supported by the local clubs and boat parties that will dock at the festival, Afrobeats themed after parties will round off a day full of enjoyment. “Trace Made in Africa” will have a tailored experience with pool parties with amazing views and helicopter rides over the Porto ocean. Each event amplifies, celebrates and elevates the pride and appreciation of Afro-Caribbean culture.

Trace, the global platform shared a few words on the first-ever festival:

ʻTrace Made In Africaʼ is also about joining efforts with Trace, as they are an unparalleled voice for culture, education, entertainment, inclusion and diversity for Africans around the world. We will demonstrate to the world that Portugal’s reputation as a leading tourism destination is well deserved.
