Gidochi describes his new EP, “Mixed Feelings”, as a project that represents the youthful heart and all it bears. With each listen, our ears savoured every minute of this afro-blue fusion masterpiece. We exceptionally enjoyed his rich vocals on the extremely catchy track “You P3”. Enjoy it here.

2. Kiddblack – “Loaded Weapon” 

Kiddblack’s skill is one of a kind and anyone who listens to his latest song, “Loaded Weapons” will be able to hear that. If you also enjoy authentic hip-hop, you’ll certainly enjoy his bars on the track.

3. Tobe Nwigwe featuring Jabari Johnson – “TRY JESUS” 

Nigerian-American rapper Tone Nwigwe’s forte is to spread inspirational and meaningful messages through his music. In his song, “TRY JESUS” with Jabari Johnson, the law is laid down as they tell their listeners that unlike Jesus, “they don’t have any problem laying these hands” and they do so over such a mellow instrumental; it’s truly a must-hear. 

4. Sarkodie featuring Kuami Eugene – “Happy Day” (Prod. by MOG Beatz)

Start your week off right by jamming to this infectious banger from King Sark and Kuami Eugene. MOG’s beat will instantly send chills down your spine; it’s truly a deftly-produced jam.

5. Tayc – “N’y pense plus” 

French-Cameroonian singer Tayc has us head over heels over his single, “N’y pense plus”. It’s an instant, soon to be classic that you do not need to sleep on. Check it out here.

6. Amaarae featuring Kojey Radical & Cruel Santino – “JUMPING SHIP” (Prod. by KYU Steed & KZ)

If you have not heard Amaarae’s new album, “yet, you need to check it out immediately after you stop reading this. We promise it will be one of the best things you hear this week. Take “JUMPING SHIP” as an example, the vibes are just perfect. 

7. Ben Pol x Tamimu – “Hiyo Ndio Mbaya”

Tanzanian artistes, Ben Pol and Tamimu teamed up on their recent banger, “Hiyo Ndio Mbaya” to get us dancing up on our feet. If you have an Afrobeat workout playlist, be sure to add this song to it. 

8. Davido feat. Nicki Minaj – “Holy Ground” (Prod. by Speroach Beatz)

This collaboration between Davido and Nicki Minaj is one we did not know we needed. 

Ever since we heard their song, “Holy Ground”,  it has been living in our heads completely rent-free. It’s such a satisfying sound. 

9. Elida Almeida – “Nha Bilida” 

Earlier this month, Cape-Verdean songstress Elida Almeida released an album dubbed “Gerasonobu” currently making headlines in her county’s charts. We recommend you check her project out, it contains a plethora of sweet-sounding tunes. You can even start off with Nha Bilida” here. 

10. KODA – “Aseda” 

Get your handkerchiefs out and praise dance to KODA’s new thanksgiving anthem, “Aseda” off his upcoming “Keteke” album. We truly have a lot to be thankful for, and his message on the track.
