Sounds From The East
With African music being the centre of attention nowadays, people naturally tend to focus more on West African music but I think it is about time to take a precise look at East African music. When it comes to Sounds From The East, you know The iMullar is your plug! With their diverse beat and flow, this week’s selection features artists like Moms, Swagina Music, Mbosso, Spice Diana, Marioo, Bushali, Rayvanny, Caleb Awiti, Capespring and Lhiroyd.

Moms -“Tema”
The Switzerland-based Somali artist, Moms, is back with an upbeat track displaying his catchy vocals. Perfect combo for a summer hit right? “Tema” is a French slang word which means “to look/see”, in this song he addresses numerous topics such as his life before he became famous and his destiny. Lhiroyd – “Facile”
Lhiroyd, Burundian Afro-pop sensation based in France, blessed us with a dynamic song and it has been on repeat! If you do not know about Lhiroyd well you might fall in love with his lively vocals. Capespring – Weight
The artist from Kenya has blessed us with a dope 5-tracks EP and our favourite is “Weight”. The lo-fi track refers to the concept of moving out of a relationship and you need to hear it! Capespring might give you Frank Ocean’s vibes and we love it. Make sure to listen here!
