Each week, we accumulate a list of newly released songs that we think you should hear because music is the only universal language of peace and love. Ehu featuring Tamaté – Run Up

What length are you willing to go to prove your love for someone, in ‘Run Up’, Ehu and Tamatè sing about running to the ends just to show the extent of their love as they sing in the chorus “I go run to the end, I go run to the end of the rainbow for you”… If you intend to go extra miles for your lover, listen to this song and run up with Ehu and Tamaté.

Classick featuring Thrill – impaired 

In this Classick featuring Thrill song titled ‘Impaired’, a smart girl hides all her abilities and she acts like she’s dealing with mentally challenging issues so she acts ‘impaired’. Classick and Thrill rap and sing about their frustrations in dealing with the said girl. 

Baggotee – Jeje 

The quest to be great, to be known and to be successful is something we all wish for, even though it is not easy, knowing that no matter what you’ll get there one day sometimes makes it easy. In the meantime, you need take life easy focus on your hustle and always for the best, this is our little take away from Baggotee’s new song ‘Jeje’ (Easy).

Shay D ft ADDJ – Turnop

Shay D and ADDJ have brought the party to us in their new song, ‘Turnop’, the party themed jam just like the title is meant for turn up purposes, add this to your party playlist and dance to it whenever you can. 

Krizbeatz featuring Diamond Platinumz and Ceeboi – Abi

Nigerian producer Krizbeatz (The Drummer Boy) teams up with Diamond Platinumz from Tanzania and Ceeboi from Nigeria on a song titled ‘Abi’ which literally means ‘isn’t it or isn’t that so’. Diamond comes through with his amazing vocals as Ceeboi follows up with some rap and some additional vocals, specially made for the ladies, we hope you enjoy this. 

Skiibii featuring Reekado Banks – Banger

Most artists seem to be appreciating the female body in their songs lately, the newest addition is Skiibii s new song ‘Banger’ which features Reekado Banks. ‘Baby girl your body is a banger, you dey kill me with your swagger’, we can’t help but fall in love with this, listen to this song on your preferred platform via the link below

Hypnotic – Cold

Struggles, broken promises, heartbreaks, disappointments and all of that comes with living in this life or just existing, they are all bound to happen one way or the other. Hypnotic shares with us his experience in his song ‘Cold’.

Kojo Funds – Vanessa

Vanessa” is a very beautiful girl who has captured the heart of Kojo Funds so he sings about her, in the song Kojo showers beauty praises on the said girl in lines like “When I saw you, I was impressed, ah Gyal, you’re pretty, you can win any contest, ah, yeah”. This is a beauty appreciation song for all the beautiful ladies out there, you don’t have to be called Vanessa to be able to relate to it, you’re beautiful and Kojo Funds loves you.

Trey LA featuring El – Bee – See The Light

In a time where many struggles to find their feet due to the economic ripple caused by the ongoing pandemic, Trey LA features EL-Bee on ‘See the Light’ to galvanize the faith of many and get them to expect better days. Originally produced by DJ Clue, ‘See the Light’ was sampled by fast-rising Ghanaian producer DDT and is sure to be loved by all.

Jhuicy featuring Ian Jazzi – Mene Wa

If you’ve had your head underwater in the past few weeks, Jhuicy’s new song, ‘Mene Wa’ deserves your attention, it’s an aesthetic piece that features Ian Jazzi atop a Fyber Beatz production. Being a love song, ‘Mene Wa’ which translates to ’You and I’ is filled with a host of graceful vocals that warm the heart, it tells the tale of lovers who have grown distant over time but crave to be reunited. Jhuicy’s sedative tone, paired with Ian Jazzi’s fiery verse help deliver a refreshing record that many fans will appreciate, it has all the calmness you would ever need from a song.

Jhuicy featuring Mr Mageek – Juju

Juju’ is the collaborative effort of Jhuicy and Mr Mageek. It’s a charming sound that boasts of some enticing one-liners and carries a colossal vibe. Produced by Son of John, ‘Juju’ sits in Afrobeat territory and is adorned by a very fashionable beat that will get your body moving non-stop, both artists are a joy to take in and their overall output pleasing. The song sweeps listeners into the euphoria of love; a feeling so strong it seems like juju, the song’s title.

Ogidi Brown – Bisa

Ogidi Brown is back with a brand new single. ‘Bisa’ an Afrobeat song produced by Beatz Fada. On this song, Ogidibrown delights in a message offered to him from a lady he has paid a visit to. The song makes reference to a special fruit that can only be found once Ogidi Brown asks his parents, hence the title, ‘Bisa’. 

Ckamz – No Cap

No Cap” is a hard-hitting hip hop song by Ckamz inspired by the ambition to make it and be successful, with a feature from Lord D, production by Mikey, mix & mastered by G-mix this is another strong addition to Ckamz’s versatile catalogue.

Avit – Why Hate Me

Avit expresses his views on Black Lives Matter on a Kuvie produced song titled ‘Why Hate Me’.  In light of recent happenings, musicians have found their own way of talking about racism and the way black people are treated worldwide in their music and Avit has joined the train, we share in his pain and emotions, do same by listening to ‘Why Hate Me’ on SoundCloud.

Bomba – Desire 

Ghanaian reggae/dancehall act ‘Bomba’ has released a new song titled ‘Desire‘. Bomba makes songs about love while infusing a bit of Afro Pop into his main genres, ‘Desire’ is Bomba‘s first Afro Pop song, spicing it up with a female vocalist, ‘Desire’ is a song for all the faithful lovers worldwide and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Mr Eazi – One Day You Will Understand

The title of Mr Eazi’s new EP is more than just words put together, ‘One Day You Will Understand’, there’s a lot we wish we knew understood but maybe it’s for a good reason that we don’t understand everything about life, love, relationship and all that comes with it. Me Eazi summarizes and appreciates the whole idea of love in a 4–track EP, guest features from King Promise on ‘Jealous’ and C Natty on ‘Baby This Your Body Na Góbe’, check it out via the link below.

Mani Mandela –  Melodies from the North

Songs on the record were composed in English, but also in Mani’s native dialect, Bulisa; to validate his roots as well as the EP’s title. ”Melodies from the North” opens with ‘Azumah’ which features Juni Hype, it tells the story of a guy who pleads for forgiveness from his lover in relation to his toxic behaviours and lifestyle. “Money” follows suit, which talks about the pursuit of money then comes “Promise Me”, an emotionally moving piece which features Prince Bright of Buk Bak fame, a beautiful song themed on loyalty; a couple’s promise to never betray the love that they share. “Jealous” takes centre stage from there, standing at track 4, a tale of an ex who regrets letting go of her significant other, consumed by jealousy, she wants him back but he has moved on with another and her cries to bait him won’t be tolerated. ‘Am Happy’ draws the curtains on the EP and it does so on a positive note, it’s a song that urges all to cling onto happiness because as the saying goes, we only have today and aren’t promised tomorrow.

Idahams – Man Of Fire 

The talented producer, singer/songwriter teamed up with Nigerian producers TU2, Orbeat, Ayzed and Yussy Beat to give fans a collection of mesmerizing sounds with a festival of percussions which is sure to keep them amazed. With pre-released singles such as ‘Shima‘ and ‘Enter My Eye‘ doing huge numbers across digital streaming platforms and ‘Ada’ peaking at #10 in the UK Music Week Official Chart, there is no blowing out the smoke as the fast raising star gives us the new seven-track Afro-pop feel EP titled ‘Man on Fire’.  In a statement, Idahams said, “This EP, Man on Fire describes my passion and desire to show the world what I am capable of.
