These are iMullar’s picks for the best songs from April, 2020.This month, we’ve been hooked on to tracks like RJZ’s “For Life,” “Nominate” by Stonebwoy, the heartfelt tune “Call Up” by Ria Boss and the collaborative effort Olee and M3nsa with Amaarae track-assisting “Still Dey Inside”. 1. For Life – RJZ
According to RJZ, “For Life” was inspired by his cousin, Lorenzo who spent countless years in prison for a rape crime he did not commit. It’s amazing how RJZ’s used his artistry to shine a light on Lorenzo’s story through such a beautiful display. Check the visuals out there, it’s guaranteed to take you through an array of emotions.
2. Nominate – Stonebwoy featuring Keri Hilson
Stonebwoy’s new album, “Anloga Junction” is a masterpiece. And after a ten-year hiatus, American songstress Keri Hilson made her first appearance in music on “Nominate” with Stonebwoy on the album accompanied by a ravishing visual. Check it out.
3. Call Up – Ria Boss
Too busy to call up a loved one? Ria Boss gives us “call up” as a tribute to missed calls, to avoid calls and a call to action to do better. We shouldn’t be too busy to reconnect with those who keep us in check and truly cares! Call up to the ones you love.
4. Kelvin Mo – Only You
Imagine thinking that falling in love is not a good idea, how can you do this to yourself? Love is a beautiful thing and if you ever find yourself falling in love you have to allow yourself to experience it. Kelvin Mo says it’s all in his new song “Only You”, we hope you enjoy this jam as much as we do.
5. Turn on the lights – Kwesi Arthur
When it’s time to find one’s souls mate, you are riddled with unsureness and doubts. Turn on the lights has Kwesi Arthur running very different scenarios of how this love thing will end. Someone’s daughter who would hold you down is what everybody needs at the end of the day, “Turn off the lights, I’m looking for a boo”.
6. Midi Kwakwa – Go Again
Go Again is what every lover would want to hear from their significant other. Go Again means a lot, Go Again is the motivation that signals ‘you’re doing the right thing or you’re hitting the right spot’. Lose yourself in the voice of Midi Kwakwa.
7. Skreentime – Worlasi

8. GuiltyBeatz & J. Derobie – My Vibe
Grammy-nominated producer and DJ, Guiltybeatz has released his debut EP and it is seamless. Anyone who listens will fall in love with how flawless the transitions to the songs are, and they will certainly have you running the project back over and over again.
9. Paradise- Spacely featuring Dani Draco
$pacely is such a powerful force in the current Ghanaian hip-hop scene, and his presence is refreshing. From his solid flow to his dynamic ad-libs, he gives us his full energy with each release. His latest single, “Paradise” with Dani Draco is effortlessly epic. It can be found on all major music streaming platforms.
10. Up and Away – Kay T, Ayat and RJZ

14. Nana Nyame – Gyakie

15. Confirmed – Darkovibes featuring Joey B & Kwesi Arthur
Darkovibes on confirmed track-assisted by Joey B and Kwesi Arthur got the boys expressing their feelings on how the female form makes them feel and their intentions. Call it lust or love but these are relatable everyday life situations, Increase the volume.
16. Not Like You – Raës
Raës reflects on the failures of past attempts at dating and the eventual exhilaration of finding a love that nurtures, soothes and heals past wounds while reassuring you of your worth and the validation of your emotional needs. 18. Oh My Days – Nxwrth featuring DarkoVibes, Kiddblack and Hama
“Oh My Days” is a feel-good track filled with optimistic thought of the future. The boys foretell their success story and what they’re aiming towards. Hope this means something to you.
19. Pricelezz – Efya featuring Mugeez
Efya on pricelezz track-assisted by Mugeez is a dialogue below two lovers who seemed to have missed each other’s company. They go ahead to tease each other on what will transpire when they finally get a hold of one another, very normal, isn’t it? Enjoy.
20. Charge – Kpakpolee feat Keylow Bruce
Love can change your world view. Rejection can bring a man to his keen and in “Change”, Kpakpolee seeks clarity on where he stands with his lover.
21. T’neeya – Free You Mind
The constant battle with our minds eventually takes a toll on our ability to think freely and be less burdened. 22. Delis featuring Romeo Swag – Nobody Cares
Rolling with the realist is the only choice because nobody cares more if it doesn’t affect them. Delis has his sight focused on two things namely his music and money and won’t be distracted.
23. Khalifina featuring Medikal – Slow Down
Khalifina and Medikal came through with the vibes on their latest song, “Slow Down”. The Yung D3mz produced track is everything you need to hear this week and will make a perfect addition to your playlists.
24. Dee Money – Palanquin
Dee Money’s “palanquin” just as the title says is a rap flex putting somethings and some people in their right places, it’s normal for rappers to brag about things they have, what they do and how they live their lives but Dee Money makes us understand that not everyone puts everything they own out there and whatever you have you’ll not be the first or last to have it, I mean he brags a little here and there but for us, we are happy to hear him rap again, it’s been quite a while.
25. Darksuburb – Kelewele
Many African nations have fried plantain recipes and kelewele is a Ghanaian one which is simply spicy and gingered fried ripe plantain. With the whole hype about Jollof and waakye, the skeletons choose to do a song about kelewele because it serves well with all these dishes. To us promoting Africa through culture starts as simple as with African dishes. We hope you enjoy this new one.
