Songs You Need
Each week, The iMullar staff rounds up the songs we cannot stop playing in The Weekly, and we’re calling all lovers of music to enjoy them with us. This week we have KiDi, Darkoo, Darkovibes, Essilfie, Stonebwoy, Skillz 8Figure, Tomi Agape, 2Baba, Twitch, and G-West making up our list for the ten songs you need in your life in no special order available on Apple Music.
1. KiDi – “Enjoyment” (Prod. by MOG Beatz)
This is one of our enjoyment anthems of the year, and it’s the perfect jam to get stuck in your head even after jamming to it. Kill your eardrums with enjoyment by streaming it here.
2. Darkoo & Hardy Caprio – “Juicy”
As we approach Summer 2020, we need to keep this banger by Darkoo and Hardy Caprio in mind as one of the ultimate summer bangers of the year; and its visuals definitely set the mood for it as well.
3. Darkovibes feat. King Promise – “Inna Song (Gin & Lime)” (Prod. by Streetbeatz)
Set to drop on the 3rd of April this year is Darkovibes’ debut album, “Kpanlogo” with features from Peruzzi, Stonebwoy, and more. Darkovibes unlocked recently unlocked a single on the album for our listening pleasures, enjoy “Inna Song (Gin & Lime) with King Promise here.
4. Essilfie feat. Nii Amu – “Hurt” (Prod. by Kuvie)
Essilfie’s “Hurt” featuring Nii Amu is her first released single of the year, and its vibes are passionate and contagious. We’ve fallen in love with the track and cannot wait to see what Essilfie has up her sleeves for the rest of the year and beyond.
5. Stonebwoy – “African Party” (Prod. by Streetbeatz)
The visuals to Stonebwoy’s, “African Party” is one of the cleanest videos we have seen recently. The song is also a banger, making the entire body of work a 10/10 for us. Enjoy it here.
6. Skillz 8Figure- “Kolo” (Prod. by Yung D3mz)
Skillz 8Figure put together a solid 6-track EP, that is getting massive plays in our playlists, with “Kolo” sitting high as one of our favourites. It is our project recommendation for the week.
7. Tomi Agape – “This Way” (Prod. by C. Biggz)
2020 has been such a good year so far music-wise, and it’s only March. UK based, Nigerian afro soul/ fusion artiste Tomi Agape recently released her first single of the year, and it is clever.
8. 2Baba feat. Wizkid – “Opo” (Prod. by Blaq Jerzee)
The legendary 2Baba blessed us with an album this year with a diverse line-up of bangers from start to finish. “Opo” on the project exceptionally caught our eye as Wizkid’s presence on the song added an extra pinch of flavour that kept us craving for more.
9. Twitch feat. Medikal & Kweku Smoke – “Save Me Remix” (Prod. by Yung D3mz)
Twitch dedicated “Save Me” to every hustler out there grinding hard to make it in life. He promises that if the work is put in, the outcome will certainly be worth it. The remix with Medikal and Kweku Smoke is groundbreaking; stream it here.
10. G-West feat. Bisa Kdei – “Bonto” (Prod. by Apya)
As per usual, G-West has dropped another satisfying jam with vibrant vibes we cannot get enough of. “Bonto” with Bisa Kdei is simply a beautiful track that is not meant to be slept on. We’ll link you here:
