NEW SOUNDS WEEK 10 100 1

Slim Drumz  – Bounce

Ghanaian producer/artist Slim Drumz keeps proving he is still holding it in the trap music scene with his latest single “Bounce”. The song talks about how he and his gang are still ruling the streets with their music, this song is like a warning shot to his haters, telling them to respect him because he’s been doing it since and he’s still holding it down. Bounce is a fusion of Trap and Drill type of beat that will keep you bouncing.

Kpakpo Lee ft OBS – Money Go

The new track from Kpakpo Lee features Obs, the self-produced track is a song for anyone who is trying to make it out of the streets. Kpakpo Lee wants to know where the money is because it looks like we have been working hard and hustling hard but the money is still hiding from us, no matter how hard it is you still need to find the money because without it we can do nothing, literally.

Strongman featuring Kelvynboy – Pilolo

A lot of people take love and the feelings of people for granted, if you claim you love someone you don’t have to hurt them or play with their feelings in any way, this is exactly what strongman is telling us in his new song “pilolo” which features Kelvynboy. Love is not a game it’s an expression of people’s feelings so it’s just right to respect it.

J Derobie – Back It

Produced by Uche B and mix mastered by Guilty Beatz, “Back it” has that dancehall vibes that we all want from J Derobie, this is where he does it best for us, from the lyrics to the energy the song carries, we have no option than to fall in love with it. Link to all platforms

Supa Gaeta – Never Again

In his last release, Supa Gaeta confessed his undying love for his lover but this time he’s fed up with the games and decides to pursue her ‘Never Again’ as the title suggests. Supa Gaeta over the years has been known for making music about his life experiences with examples such as Money No Dey, Go for the bag, Stressed, Skin pain etc in his own words “ I’ve been in such a situation and some of my friends have, it’s okay to get up and leave if you’re being toyed with “ This bop was produced by Yung D3mz.

Ckamz – Spazz

Spazz is a hip-hop song about lifestyle, you know living free and doing everything you want just the way you want it. With its up-tempo sound, hard-hitting kicks and 808’s it is guaranteed to turn up any function or rave. The song was produced and mix mastered by Mikey. Listen on all platforms.

Efya – IF

It’s very hard to choose between Efya and Big Dragon but we all admit that Big Dragon is Fire, just like the dragon spits fire that’s exactly what Efya has been giving to us in the past weeks. This new one titled “IF” is a love song reassuring her lover that no matter the distance, circumstance or situation at hand she will always be there for him, even if all odds are against it, you gotta stay true to your love and that’s what true love is all about.

Ahtitude – Yaazo

Ahtitude’s new song “Yaazo” is a female body appreciation song, the song talks about all the qualities of the female body and what it is capable of, the best part of this song is not just the title but the fact that it has some amazing artists on it, the song features Medikal, Bosom P-Yung, Kofi Mole and Joey B, yes all these 4 on one song, we definitely didn’t see this coming but 2020 is definitely a wild year for music, enjoy.

Queen Drie – Training Wheels

Looks like Queen Drie has a lot of things to say about being a black person in the society where she comes from and the perfect way to voice them out is through music, there’s a lot happening in our society these days from political issues to government-related issues and Queen Drie has let her thoughts and opinions out on a song called “Training Wheels”. This is not an emotional song, Drie goes hard on a hip hop beat produced by Cbro beatz and it slaps, don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Kwesi Arthur –  Why

Kwesi Arthur’s new single “why” hits different because, in today’s society, people will rather watch you fail so they can jubilate than help you when you fall. In all areas of life, we need to respect people’s feelings and all the effort they put into their craft regardless of the situation, people can go to every extent to see people’s dreams and careers come to end like why would you even do that? Kwesi Arthur wants to know why y’all want to make him the bad guy, his intentions are pure, he’s just doing music and we believe that’s the only thing that matters and we need to focus on that alone.

Tulenkey – Ghetto Boy

This year looks like a tough one already but our favourite musicians know exactly how to give us all the motivation and inspiration we need to go through the year. Tulenkey has featured Kelvynboy and Medikal on his new single “Ghetto Boy”, the message in this song is quite clear; whatever you’re doing this very moment no matter how hard it looks like, no matter how bad it looks, just believe all will work for a better cause all you have to do is believe in yourself, work hard, stand tall and watch God send his blessings down your way. This is enough motivation to go through the year, don’t give up.

Skillz – Gangsta Luv

“Gangsta Luv was inspired by my experiences. My definition of a “gangsta” is someone who can adapt to any given scenario; a person who can ultimately maneuver and thrive in any circumstance or setting. My music displays my perspective on the current state of society. The cover art is a microcosm of the various characters you would find in today’s world and the pressures of acceptance they succumb to.

Everyone is using whatever method they see fit to survive whilst trying to prove themselves to the world. Ultimately no matter what path you’re on, there is something to learn from any individual you come across. Whether you’re a student or a sex worker we’re all trying to achieve something in this life. The key is knowing that you can access knowledge to use as a resource from any experience. That’s exactly what a gangsta does. This afro-fusion sound is a blend of Rnb, Hip Hop and Afrobeats. I wanted to launch my career by giving you guys something that I know you would enjoy whilst simultaneously showcasing my versatility as an artist”.
