Kelvin Black featuring Squyb – It takes 2
Another love song on a love day by Kelvin Black and Squyb, it takes 2 to tango they say, two people achieve better than a single person. Love goes where love is, I hope you find the right or may the right one find you today.

Offei has added a golden touch to the popular tune ‘Befi Mano’ by legendary Ghanaian music group, Blackstone. ‘Fi Mano’ by Offei features Nigerian music star, Patoranking and veteran artiste Kawastone of Blackstone fame. The young artiste through ‘Fi Mano’, hopes to relive the good vibes of the song which was released close to two decades ago.
PzeeFire – “Ignite”
Caught up in love’s rush, Pzeefire sets the mood for the season with Ignite. Time is of the essence, deafen your ears, get lost in the music & move. Smoothe vocals on an Afro fusion instrumental produced by the Ransom beatz.
Afropurp – “Fakye Me”
In the spirit of love Fakye Me, the first single off “Everyday Is Summer” an album by the boy band is out. Afropurp explore love and forgiveness in this up tempo purp life song produced by kenxshin. Enjoy
Bosom P Yung – Odo Ndwom (love song)
If there’s anything called trap-love, that’s exactly what I’ll call this song but gangster love sounds better because of the sound that comes with the song, a love jam with a trap beat. The Atta Adwoa hit maker is out with another new song titled “Odo Ndwom”, he’s seen in the video of this song, helpless, stressed and confessing his love to his lover, not sure who that is maybe it’s still Atta Adwoa. We love not just the song but the creativity in the video directed by Gordon Appiah. Watch it via the link below.
Dj Kwamzy featuring Kensxhin – “The Way You Are”
What is the official Loveday without a love song to dance to? The way you are by Ghanaian-UK based producer DJ Kwamzy is a song everyone is likely to relate to not just because of the dance beat but also because of the lyrics in the song. If you’re trying to woo a girl today young kings, stress no more all you have to do is play “the way you are” by Kwamzy and we are good to go.
Tibu – “Call Me”
Yammy Don Dada is back again with all the afro dancehall vibes you need this love season. “Call Me” is Tibu’s first single for the year and just like the title of the song, you know what to expect, on this song, he sings on a fusion of afrobeat and dancehall beat produced by VT as he makes his intentions clear to his said love with the love language relatable to everyone. There’s so much to do with this beautiful jam, we hope it stays in your speakers throughout the week.
Ejoya Music – “From The Class – With Love EP”
Ejoya Music’s care package “From The Class – With Love EP” is out with features from Ejoya, Jinmi Abduls and Atawewe on the first song “show me” whiles Ejoya, Remy Baggins & Dunnie feature on the second song “waiting for you”. The afro-pop tape is the perfect tape for this love season.
Ogranya featuring Efya – “Wicked”
There is so much to say about Valentine’s Day a lot of people are psyched about it but for Nigerian afro soul artist, it’s nothing more than a regular day so he put out this song for the people who haven’t met their loved ones or don’t have anyone to love them, for them it’s nothing but wicked love all the time. This one is for us.
Zarion Uti – “War”
Being in love is an exceptional feeling, you find yourself doing things you are used to or things that are completely different from your normal way of life. Zarion’s “war” is a typical example of the extent to which lovers are willing to go for their loved ones, in his song he talks about fighting for his lover even though he doesn’t know how to fight, “I no too sabi fight but I no mind go to war for you”, this is some sort of assurance to someone you love. Going to war for them is not just throwing hands for them, it could also mean showing up for them and being there whenever they need you.
Tapes & Eps
TMA – Nothing Too Serious (NTS)
Nothing too serious sounds like something you might not want to listen to but the 4-track Tape from Sierra Leone hip hop artist Tma has all the songs that sum up the whole idea of any kind of relationship. The tape starts with “worst way” it comes with a cool R&B/Rap style intro, and expands into a mellow distinct Afro-pop vibe with the energy subtly going up as one song cascades into the other. Makes for really easy listening. We hope you like it.
Zay – Far From Perfect EP
Far from Perfect EP is a 6 song extended by American hip hop act Zayfromthebay. This tape is about the concept of relationships from a males perspective. Zay wanted the male to admit that he was the sole reason why most of his relationships didn’t work. From “far from perfect” the first song on the tape to “I admit” “without you” and “flashbacks” , all the songs musically explain why the male had failed relationships, this is not to say that males are always the cause of failed relationships but Zay is talking from the male point of view, there’s so much to learn for both genders, you need to check this one out.
