iMullar’s Best Songs Of 2018

2018’s Jam

2018S BEST

When it comes to Ghanaian music, we’ve all been treated to a wide variety of quality tracks this year—whether it be club anthems, drill bangers or more pensive, thought-provoking drops. We’ve seen the usual suspects maintain their spots as the top dogs, and we’ve also seen plenty of fresh, new, hungry artists come through and stake their claim to be considered top-tier artists moving forward into the new year. Here at The iMullar, we understand that it’s a lot to keep on track of every new release from the increasing number of talents rising through the ranks—and that’s not even including the hidden gems that may have escaped your radar. So that’s why our music team have compiled a list of the best songs of 2018, so that you don’t have to.

We’ve included the likes of Kwesi Arthur, Darko Vibes, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, King Promise, B4Boanh, Quamina MP, RJZ and Patapaa, but also have offerings from  Medikal, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, R2bess, Joey B, Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Juls, Maleek Berry, Tiwa Savage and more all packaged into the perfect early Christmas present for your streaming needs to recap the year and get excited for the one ahead. The majority of our list is made up of Ghanaian acts, although we may have included the odd Nigerians in four or five spots but the fact that our list is predominately Ghanaian based is a testament to the talent and hard work of the musicians in our scene, and shows the growth that we continue to make.

Check out the songs we couldn’t stop playing most this year, below, and to read more or see the official videos just click-through the links. The full playlist can be streamed on Apple Music or Spotify.
